Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. The present role of O'Dell as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
